Comfortable rooms all feature TVs, hair dryers, ironing facilities and tea/coffee makers. Many have lovely countryside views and there is a local pub which serves food all day just 15 minutes away. Located between the village of Takeley and Stansted Airport, set in 3 acres of Essex countryside, this is the closest off-site accommodation to the airport. The hotel is not under the flight path. Stansted Train Station provides excellent access to London and the historic city of Cambridge can be reached in just 30 minutes.

Important Information

Stansted Guest House is not open 24 hours. If you arrive outside of the published check-in period, you will not be able to enter.

Strict opening and closing times: 16.00 - 23.00.

We are unable to accept children under 8 years old.

Up to one week before your stay, the card given will be preauthorised with the value of your booking, or GBP 100, whichever is greater.

Stansted Guest House will add GBP 5 to all payments by credit/debit card. American Express is not accepted as payment.

The guest house is strictly non-smoking. Fees are charged to those who do not follow this policy.

All cars parked at the hotel for more than one night are taken to an off-site parking area. Car keys must therefore be left at the hotel before departure.

Payment and cancelation conditions

Euro/Mastercard Visa

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, 25 percent of all nights will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: Children older than 8 years are welcome.
All children or adults are charged 100 % of the room stay per night and person when using existing bedding.
There is no capacity for extra beds/cots in the room.

Deposit Policy: 25 percent of the total amount will be charged on the day of booking and is non-refundable.

VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.
Service charge is included.
City/tourist tax is not applicable.

Internet: No internet access available.

Meal Plan: Breakfast is included in the room rate.

Parking: Public parking is possible on site (reservation is needed) and costs GBP 5.00 per day.

Pets: Pets are not allowed.

The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival.
